How important is Play School for your child?
A Child Play School is a school that helps children learn through play. It is an educational establishment or learning space that offers early childhood education to children before they begin compulsory education at primary school. Play helps children develop communication, social, physical, problem-solving, and creative skills. Children can generally go to preschool in the year they turn four. Some states and territories also offer preschool for three year olds.
Preschool helps children:
Learn new knowledge and skills – for example, they start learning more about numbers, letters, and words
Better their communication and social skills through playing and interacting with other children and adults
Interact with new friends and develop new relationships with adults
Learn new skills – for example, children learn to balance on play equipment and practice fine motor skills like drawing with a pencil and cutting with scissors
Learn problem-solving and creative thinking skills
Learn to take responsibility, independence, confidence, and self-worth through doing things like looking after their own belongings and spending time away from home
Develop the habit of the transition to school.
A Child playschool offers both indoor and outdoor learning experiences, as well as opportunities for solo and group play.
